Windy is based in Indonesia and works alongside the Government of Indonesia and Asosiasi Perikanan Pole and Line dan Hand Line Indonesia (AP2HI) to support the Indonesian pole-and-line tuna fishery. Windy’s main interests as a marine scientist focus on implementing and promoting sustainable marine environmental health in Indonesia. Her passion for marine creatures and the ecosystems they live in began as a little child and inspired her study for and achieve a BSc in marine sciences.
Prior to joining IPNLF, Windy worked as a Capture Fisheries Officer with the WWF-ID and focused on lobster and mudcrabs commodities. Windy is also a marine technician for the environmental consultant PT. Hatfield Indonesia, based in Bogor. She is knowledgeable in the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification process and has worked with local NGO’s, stakeholders, and fishermen to improve capture fisheries based on Better Management Practices and MSC standard.
