Emilia Dyer

IPNLF Volunteer

Emilia recently graduated from her undergraduate degree in BSc Marine Biology from the University of Exeter. Her connection with the ocean was sparked by an art project and was developed through a volunteer marine research placement in Mozambique. This led to her degree which ignited a keen interest in how marine ecosystems respond to human-induced stress and, more recently, she has become fascinated by human and societal responses (or often lack thereof) to the ecological crisis surrounding us, as well as how we create sustainable solutions from our current systems. These interests are accompanied by an understanding of the importance of communication in conservation and her natural flair for writing which led her to create her own blog where she could explain complex scientific ideas and express her own views to a public audience.

She will now be supporting IPNLF’s Communications Teams with written projects to expand the reach of their campaigns.
